Shriver Covered Bridge
Greene County, Pennsylvania 
(WGN 38-30-29)  (WGCB PA-30-29)  (1900)  A single-span Queenpost truss 46' 5" over Hargus Creek.  Located:  On Turkey Hollow Road (TR 454), approximately 2 miles south of Rogersville, Center Township, Pennsylvania.  Directions:  Just west of Rogersville, Pennsylvania, at the jct. of SR 21 and SR 18, go south on SR 18 (Golden Oaks Road) for 0.5 mile to the jct. with Hargus Creek Road (SR 3011).  Turn left on Hargus Creek Road (SR 3011) for 0.9 mile to Turkey Hollow Road (TR 454); turn left on Turkey Hollow Road (TR 454) for 0.1 mile to the bridge.  It is covered with random-width, unpainted, vertical board siding on both the sides and the portals and has a sheet metal roof.  The deck has crosswise planking and the side openings are fairly wide lengthwise ones immediately under the eaves.  The structure is reinforced with steel I beams and it rests on cut stone abutments with relatively low wing walls extending a little above the road level.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1979.  (Oct 2005)
