38-56-12) (WGCB PA-56-12) (1891) A single-span
plus Burr arch truss 126' 4" over Laurel Hill Creek. Located:
On Covered Bridge Road (TR 312), approximately 2 miles northeast of Ursina,
Lower Turkeyfoot Township, Pennsylvania. Directions: In Kingwood,
Pennsylvania, at the jct. of PA 281 and Kregier Road (SR 3007), go south
on Kregier Road (SR 3007) for 6.1 miles to Covered Bridge Road (TR 312),
and the bridge is just to the right. It has has been reinforced with
four steel I-beams which rest on both the stone and mortar abutments and
a central stone and mortar pier which has been erected in the middle of
the creek. Two thirds of the sides are covered with barn red, random
width vertical board siding, with the portals being similarly covered but
trimmed in white. The bridge's deck has lengthwise planks, and the
roof is sheet metal. Also known as the Faidley Covered Bridge.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 10.
