The sides and portals are covered with vertical boarding.  It has a deck of crosswise planks and is covered with a asphalt shingled roof.  The bridge is still open to motorized traffic and is the only covered bridge in Maryland that joins two counties.   The World Guide Number list the bridges name as Jerico Covered Bridge.  Also known as the Jericho Road Covered Bridge Bridge.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 1978.  (Jun 2008)
